Does Florida Recognize Civil Unions?

As of today, Florida does not recognize civil unions. However, there are domestic partnership registries that allow you to make healthcare decisions, as well as guardianship decisions so that both parents can make educational decisions. This does not yet exist is all of the counties in Florida, but now over half of the counties and cities have either registries or public employee benefit programs.
